Homemade Peach Wine
Peach wine captures the essence of fresh peaches with aromatic, fruity sweetness. Use ripe, fragrant peaches for best results.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs ripe peaches
- 2 lbs sugar
- 1 tsp pectic enzyme
- 1 tsp yeast nutrient
- 1 packet wine yeast
- Water to 1 gallon
Method
Peel and pit peaches. Mash fruit in primary fermenter. Add sugar and warm water. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add pectic enzyme and let rest 12 hours. Add yeast nutrient and pitch yeast. Ferment 7-10 days. Rack to secondary. Age 2-3 months. Peach wine is delicious slightly sweet.
